Tim has over 25 years of experience in personal lines insurance operations and regulatory affairs that includes serving as a Deputy Commissioner for the California Department of Insurance and later as the President of Pacific Specialty Insurance Company (PSIC) through 2012. Tim wrote and executed on the original business plan for PSIC when it was formed in 1989, taking it from a newly formed carrier to a national P&C company, admitted in all states with an A.M. Best rating of “A” and three consecutive inclusions on the Ward’s “Top 50” P&C carriers in the United States. Tim’s experience and attention to detail have earned him an outstanding reputation in the industry as a leading executive with a team that has eagerly worked with him for decades.

Tim holds a degree in Finance from Creighton University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law.

David Sacks is a seasoned insurance professional who has held roles as both CFO and Chief Risk Officer of an insurance company with experience in developing corporate strategies, directing accounting operations and improving financial practices. David has demonstrated repeated success in achieving organizational goals and brokering complex situations both internally and externally that extends well beyond corporate accounting to all aspects of reinsurance, catastrophe risk exposure control and portfolio management.

David holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

With over 20 years of insurance experience as both an independent agent and broker, as well as a field sales manager for personal lines carriers, Ed brings a wealth of expertise to the independent agents and brokers he serves. After years as an independent broker himself, Ed switched over to the carrier side of the transaction where he leverages his experience to help Northern California producers grow their businesses to new heights. After working for such notable organizations as Titan Insurance, a subsidiary of Nationwide, Summit General Insurance and Explorer Insurance, Ed joined the Aegis Specialty team in 2015. An avid photographer in his spare time, Ed will be happy to snap a photo of your smiling face as you watch your business grow with Aegis Specialty residential property products.

Scott’s not your typical golf pro-turned-insurance pro. After years on the links teaching adults their way around a five-iron, Scott started a non-profit organization to bring sports of all types to homeless children from 6 to 12 years old in his local community. As Scott’s network quickly expanded he found himself making the leap into insurance. Now after more than eight years as a personal lines insurance marketing representative in California, Scott has joined the Aegis Specialty team bringing his experience to independent agents and brokers throughout the Central Valley and Northern California. Golf and insurance have gone together for a long time, but Scott brings the level of expertise to new heights on both fronts.

When you ask Dan how he got into the insurance industry, his answer is simple – it was the water. After 12 years on the road selling Arrowhead Water, a friend and former colleague of Dan’s introduced him to insurance. Dan saw the opportunity, and stability, in the insurance industry and became an insurance agent. After six years selling property and casualty insurance in the greater Los Angeles area, Dan moved over to the carrier side of operations and spent another nine years in and around Los Angeles as a carrier sales representative for Kemper before joining the Aegis team. Today, Dan helps independent agents and brokers, and other distribution partners, grow their business with the industry’s easiest-to-use residential property quoting and binding platform.

Shawn thrives on speed and quick results. After literally racing into the insurance industry on the Sacramento Raceway, Shawn has been applying his extensive experience in consumer retail sales and management to the insurance industry for the past 15 years. Before joining the Aegis General team, Shawn was managing a territory with over 400 P&C locations throughout Southern California. Now Shawn is supercharging results for independent agents and brokers with the easiest-to-use products available today. And, yes, he’s such an adrenaline junkie that his kids’ initials are R.P.M.

An avid San Francisco Giants fan, Susie enjoys helping agents and brokers hit out of the ball park. Susie began her insurance sales career with Allstate before moving over to Nationwide subsidiary Titan Insurance. After spending nearly 20 years as an insurance agent and then a carrier sales representative, Susie joined the Aegis General all-star lineup in 2016. Today, Susie uses her extensive experience with insurance sales and sales team management to help producers improve their stats. Susie holds a degree in Business Administration and Liberal Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as her producer insurance license as a resident of California.
